Tour Overview
Lisbon, Cascais & Évora by Train is an 8-day, 7-night Portugal vacation combining the capital, the Lisbon coast and historic Alentejo. Stay in Lisbon, Cascais and Évora, with rail travel between destinations, selected transfers, breakfast accommodations and included sightseeing.
Begin with two nights in Lisbon and a Tuk Tuk food and wine experience before traveling by train to Cascais for two nights on the coast. Continue by first-class train to Évora for a guided walking tour and wine-cellar visit with tasting, then return to Lisbon for a final overnight before departure.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive in Lisbon
Arrive at Lisbon Airport, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Check in for a two-night stay on a bed-and-breakfast basis and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure.
Day 2 - Lisbon Tuk Tuk Food & Wine Experience
Enjoy time to explore Lisbon before joining an included 2½-hour Tuk Tuk tour combining city sightseeing with Portuguese food and wine. Travel through characteristic neighborhoods including Bairro Alto, Chiado and Rossio, admire views across the city and sample Portuguese tapas and wines.
Day 3 - Train from Lisbon to Cascais
Check out of your Lisbon hotel and make your own way to Cais do Sodré railway station. Travel by train to Cascais, a journey of approximately 40 minutes. Upon arrival, make your own way from Cascais station to your hotel and check in for a two-night stay.
Day 4 - Cascais at Leisure
Enjoy a free day in Cascais. Explore the historic center and waterfront, relax along the coast or spend the day discovering the surrounding Lisbon seaside area at your own pace.
Day 5 - Cascais to Évora by Train
Check out of your Cascais hotel and make your own way to Cascais railway station. Travel back to Lisbon Cais do Sodré station, then continue independently by subway or taxi to Oriente railway station.
From Oriente, travel in first class to Évora, a journey of approximately 1½ hours. Upon arrival, an included transfer will take you from Évora station to your hotel. Check in for a two-night stay on a bed-and-breakfast basis.
Day 6 - Évora Walking Tour & Wine Tasting
Discover Évora on an included guided walking tour of approximately 1½ hours. Explore its historic streets and see landmarks including Giraldo Square, the Roman Temple, the Cathedral and the Church of São Francisco. Entrance tickets to monuments are not included.
In the afternoon, take an included private transfer to a local wine cellar for a wine tasting. After the visit, transfer back to your hotel in Évora.
Day 7 - First-Class Train from Évora to Lisbon
After breakfast, check out of your Évora hotel and transfer to the railway station. Travel in first class to Lisbon Oriente station, a journey of approximately 1½ hours. Transfer from Oriente station to your Lisbon hotel is not included. Check in for your final night in Lisbon.
Day 8 - Depart Lisbon
After breakfast and hotel check-out, transfer from your Lisbon hotel to Lisbon Airport for your departure.

Superior Hotels
Evora - Evora Hotel
Evora Hotel is a 5-minute drive from Évora's city center and 10 minutes drive from the train station. This hotel offers two outdoor pools and one indoor heated pool. All guest rooms have a private balcony, minibar and TV as well a view to the Alentejo's plains.
In addition to the traditional Sol Poente, the Evora also has the Lounge Natural Living restaurant which serves a variety of light meals with natural ingredients. The bar has refreshing drinks and snacks.
After a work-out in the gym, guests can relax in the hot tub or sauna. Babysitting services are available upon request. There are also various spa treatments and massages. Golfers can use Évora's driving range.
Cascais - Hotel Pestana Cascais
This 4-star hotel on the Estoril Coast features an indoor pool with a hot tub and a sauna. The outdoor pool and the palm gardens offer Atlantic Ocean views.
All rooms at Pestana Cascais feature a spacious balcony and an outdoor sitting area, with ocean or garden views. They come with a kitchenette, including a fridge.
The Oceano restaurant serves Portuguese and Mediterranean cuisine and hosts various theme evenings. The indoor Atlantico lounge bar and the pool bar offer light snacks and drinks.
Hotel Pestana Cascais provides a shuttle service to central Cascais and Guincho beach. The hotel is 12 miles from Lisbon Airport.
Lisbon - Turim Saldanha Hotel
Nestled in the heart of Lisbon, the TURIM Saldanha Hotel boasts a restaurant and bar for guests to enjoy. The hotel is conveniently situated just 1,312 feet from Eduardo VII Park and Saldanha, with two metro stations within a 5-minute stroll.
The inviting rooms are furnished with a flat-screen satellite TV and a private bathroom, which includes either a bath or shower, along with complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer.
The elegant Liberty Avenue, known for its upscale shops and boutiques, is only 0.7 miles away. The TURIM Saldanha Hotel is a mere 15-minute metro ride from both Chiado and Rossio. Additionally, the famous São Jorge Castle is located 2.5 miles from the hotel. The closest airport is Portela Airport, situated 4.5 miles from the property.
Booking & Policies
Booking Your Land-Only Vacation
- A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $350 per person is required to confirm and hold your reservation.
- Vacation departure dates, itineraries and prices are subject to change until your reservation is confirmed.
- Final payment is due 55 days before departure.
Booking Your Vacation With Air
- This vacation does not include an airfare option. We can hold your land reservation while you arrange your flights. Once you confirm your air itinerary, we can proceed with collecting the required deposit and confirming the land portion of your vacation.
Cancellation Policy
- The $350 per person deposit is non-refundable.
- For cancellations made 55 days or more before arrival, the cancellation charge is $350 per person.
- For cancellations made 54 days or fewer before arrival, no-shows and unused services, no refund will be provided.
- A cancellation is considered valid only after we have received the request and confirmed the cancellation to you.
Refund Fees
- Any credit-card processing fee assessed when a payment is made will be deducted from any refunded amount. This also applies to deposits refunded because requested services are unavailable for the requested travel dates.

Booking Changes
