The 5-Day Private Lisbon & Portugal Highlights Tour is a 5-day, 4-night Portugal tour based in Lisbon and designed for travelers who want to see several of the country’s most important cultural, historic and scenic destinations in a short stay. The program combines Lisbon sightseeing with full-day excursions to Sintra and the Atlantic coast, Fátima and Central Portugal, and Évora in the Alentejo.
Highlights include Lisbon’s historic neighborhoods and monuments, Pena Palace and the UNESCO-listed cultural landscape of Sintra, Cabo da Roca, Cascais and Estoril, the Sanctuary of Fátima, Batalha Monastery, the fishing town of Nazaré, medieval Óbidos and the Roman and medieval heritage of Évora. Four nights of accommodation in Lisbon, daily breakfast and private airport transfers are included.

Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive in Lisbon & Classic Lisbon Sightseeing
Arrive at Lisbon Airport and transfer by private sedan or minivan to your hotel in Lisbon. Begin your stay with an included Classic Lisbon sightseeing tour departing from a designated meeting point.
Discover some of Lisbon’s best-known historic areas and monuments, including Belém, Jerónimos Monastery and the Ajuda National Palace, with entrance to Ajuda Palace included except on Wednesdays. Continue to Alfama for a walking tour through one of Lisbon’s oldest neighborhoods, traditionally associated with the origins of Fado.
Overnight in Lisbon.
Day 2 - Sintra, Cabo da Roca, Cascais & Estoril
Travel from Lisbon to Sintra, where the day begins around the colorful Pena Palace, set high in the Sintra Mountains. Enjoy free time in Sintra’s historic center to explore its narrow streets, handicraft shops and traditional pastry shops, where local specialties include queijadas and travesseiros.
Continue through the Colares wine region to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe. Follow the Atlantic coast past Guincho and Boca do Inferno to Cascais, then return to Lisbon along the Estoril coast.
Overnight in Lisbon.
Day 3 - Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré & Óbidos
Leave Lisbon for Fátima, one of the world’s best-known Catholic pilgrimage destinations. Visit the sanctuary, including the Basilica and the Chapel of the Apparitions, with time to experience the spiritual center of the site.
Continue to Batalha and its UNESCO-listed monastery, one of Portugal’s outstanding examples of Gothic architecture. From there, travel to Nazaré, the Atlantic fishing town known for its dramatic coastline and panoramic views from the Sítio area.
The final stop is Óbidos, a medieval walled village of whitewashed houses and narrow streets. Return to Lisbon at the end of the day.

Day 4 - Évora & the Alentejo
Travel east from Lisbon into the Alentejo, where olive groves, cork oak landscapes and vineyards surround the historic city of Évora. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage center and see major landmarks such as the Roman Temple, Évora Cathedral, the Church of São Francisco and the Chapel of Bones.
The visit also introduces the region’s traditional food, handicrafts and wine culture. The supplier itinerary includes time for lunch and an afternoon regional wine tasting before returning to Lisbon.
Overnight in Lisbon.
Day 5 - Depart Lisbon
After breakfast and hotel check-out, transfer by private sedan or minivan from your Lisbon hotel to Lisbon Airport for your departure.

Lisbon - Turim Saldanha Hotel
Nestled in the heart of Lisbon, the TURIM Saldanha Hotel boasts a restaurant and bar for guests to enjoy. The hotel is conveniently situated just 1,312 feet from Eduardo VII Park and Saldanha, with two metro stations within a 5-minute stroll.
The inviting rooms are furnished with a flat-screen satellite TV and a private bathroom, which includes either a bath or shower, along with complimentary toiletries and a hairdryer.
The elegant Liberty Avenue, known for its upscale shops and boutiques, is only 0.7 miles away. The TURIM Saldanha Hotel is a mere 15-minute metro ride from both Chiado and Rossio. Additionally, the famous São Jorge Castle is located 2.5 miles from the hotel. The closest airport is Portela Airport, situated 4.5 miles from the property.
Booking & Policies
Booking Your Land-Only Vacation
- A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $350 per person is required to confirm and hold your reservation.
- Vacation departure dates, itineraries and prices are subject to change until your reservation is confirmed.
- Final payment is due 55 days before departure.
Booking Your Vacation With Air
- This vacation does not include an airfare option. We can hold your land reservation while you arrange your flights. Once you confirm your air itinerary, we can proceed with collecting the required deposit and confirming the land portion of your vacation.
Cancellation Policy
- The $350 per person deposit is non-refundable.
- For cancellations made 55 days or more before arrival, the cancellation charge is $350 per person.
- For cancellations made 54 days or fewer before arrival, no-shows and unused services, no refund will be provided.
- A cancellation is considered valid only after we have received the request and confirmed the cancellation to you.
Refund Fees
- Any credit-card processing fee assessed when a payment is made will be deducted from any refunded amount. This also applies to deposits refunded because requested services are unavailable for the requested travel dates.

Booking Changes
