“A historical Palace at the heart of the City Center. The InterContinental Porto – Palacio das Cardosas opened in July 2011 following the restoration of a palace dated from the end of the 18th century which was, at first, intended to become a monastery.

The Palacio das Cardosas is located in Porto’s main city square, within walking distance from all the major cultural highlights – such as the Bolhao Market, the Ribeira and the Clerigos Church. The Palacio das Cardosas comprises 105 spacious rooms and suites, each exuding great warmth with a Portuguese flavor and lofty ceilings. It has also a restaurant and a bar, a Gym, a Wellness Center, two meeting rooms and the ancient Cafe Astoria. Cafe Astoria offers a wide range of Portuguese dishes with a contemporary twist, as well as selection of Portuguese wines. The Cardosas Bar provides a relaxing setting, best enjoyed with a cocktail or a Port Wine glass.

Featuring high ceilings, Palacio’s stylish rooms offer flat-screen TVs and WiFi throughout. Marble bathrooms include a separate bathtub and walk-in shower. Some rooms feature a seating area with plush chairs.
