My wife and I look for unique places to travel to. This was our 25th Wedding Anniversary trip and we wanted something very special. The Azores experience exceeded our expectations 100 times over. Every island was spectacular, yet each was quite different. FLORES stood out as the most beautiful. FAIAL was our favorite, mostly because we absolutely loved the town of Horta. PICO showcased lava rock throughout, which was fascinating. Homes, walls, vineyards … The presence of the black rock was everywhere. TERCEIRA was all about color. A Brazilian influence of colors on buildings we did not see on any other island. We loved it!! SAO MIGUEL, being the most populated, was vibrant and rich in history. Everything about the trip was amazing. The private tour guides were all five stars. Hotels were great. Restaurants and wines were outstanding. And, best of all, Azores.com was absolutely wonderful. Catarina was excellent throughout … the advance planning of the trip, confirming the accommodations, setting up the flights, answering every question we had … she did everything with the highest level of customer service. The trip could not have been better. We have traveled to many places in the world and this was our best trip ever. We will always remember and cherish the experience!!
