Day 1 to Day 3

Welcome to Lisbon!
Upon your arrival at Lisbon Airport, you'll be warmly greeted and transferred to your hotel. After checking in, settle in for a delightful 2-night stay in Lisbon, with accommodations on a bed-and-breakfast basis.

Explore the Vibrant "City of Seven Hills"
Spend your time discovering Lisbon’s charm, a city renowned for its rich history, cultural treasures, and breathtaking vistas. From historic landmarks to lush gardens and fascinating museums, the Portuguese capital has something for everyone.

Half-Day Classic Lisbon Tour
(Daily tour departing from Marquês de Pombal Square | Approx. 4 hours)
Start your morning with an unforgettable sightseeing tour that showcases Lisbon’s unique heritage and iconic beauty. Explore the historic sites tied to Portugal’s golden age of exploration, including the Belém Tower, Jerónimos Monastery, and the magnificent Ajuda National Palace (entrance included, except on Wednesdays). The tour continues with a guided walk through Alfama, one of Lisbon’s oldest and most traditional neighborhoods, where the soulful Fado music is said to have originated.

Day 3 to Day 9

Begin your journey by checking out of your Lisbon hotel and heading to Lisbon Airport. Board a brief flight of approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to Madeira. Upon arrival at Funchal Airport, enjoy a hassle-free transfer to your hotel in Funchal, where you'll settle in for a 4-night stay with breakfast included.

Explore the enchanting island of Madeira, celebrated for its stunning natural beauty, dramatic landscapes, and rich heritage. This captivating destination boasts a vibrant year-round calendar of events, offering a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in its cultural traditions and diverse festivities, ensuring a truly memorable and authentic experience.

Full-Day Excursion to Santana (Lunch Not Included)
(Available Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays)

Begin your adventure by departing from Funchal and heading to Camacha, a charming village renowned for its intricate wicker crafts. Continue onwards to Poiso and Pico do Arieiro, the island's second-highest peak, where you'll be treated to awe-inspiring vistas of dramatic mountain ranges and deep, verdant valleys.

Descend to Ribeiro Frio, with the option to enjoy a leisurely 25-minute walk amidst the lush surroundings. Journey next to Faial, a quaint village nestled along Madeira's northern coast, and proceed to Santana, famous for its distinctive triangular thatched houses. Here, you'll delve into the region's rich traditions and cultural heritage while having some free time for lunch.

On the return trip to Funchal, visit Porto da Cruz, a village celebrated for its vineyards and local wine-making. Travel through Portela, offering breathtaking viewpoints, before concluding your tour in Machico, one of Madeira's most historic towns.

Traditional Evening Experience – (Dinner and Drinks included)

Immerse yourself in the vibrant spirit of Madeira with an unforgettable night of food, music, and dance. Savor the island's signature dish, "Espetada" (succulent grilled meat skewers), paired with crispy fried corn, all served in a cheerful and welcoming atmosphere. Adding to the experience, a Madeiran Folkloric Group will entertain you with traditional performances, creating a lively and memorable celebration of the island's culture.

Day 9 to Day 11

Begin by checking out of your hotel in Funchal and transferring to the airport for your flight back to Lisbon. Upon arrival at Lisbon Airport, a transfer will take you to your hotel in the city, where you’ll check in for a 2-night stay with breakfast included.

Half-Day Sintra Tour
In the afternoon (approximately 2:30 PM), embark on a delightful tour to Sintra, a charming town recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through its historic center, featuring cobblestone streets and shops offering traditional regional products. The journey continues with visits to the scenic coastal areas of Cascais and Estoril before returning to Lisbon.

Day 11

Conclude your trip by checking out of your Lisbon hotel. A transfer to Lisbon Airport is included for your onward journey.

Best of Madeira and Portugal package includes 10 nights of accommodations, daily buffet breakfast, round-trip airport-hotel transfers, sightseeing tours and experienced local guides/drivers. Ample free time is allotted for relaxation and independent activities. Excursions can be arranged for an additional charge.

Choose a Package Type

For some packages you may be given a choice of different hotel types:
  • Superior/Premier – Includes first class 4-star lodging and Sea view rooms. Triples Room won't be possible with sea view at Hotel do Canal, when this island is on the package.
  • Comfort/Standard – Includes 4-star tourist class lodging. May include first class 3-star lodging.

Room Type

  • Solo = Person traveling alone
  • Single = Person staying in a single room traveling with one or more persons. Single travelers share land services such as transfers and tours
  • Double = 2 Persons per room
  • Triple = 3 Persons per room

General

Booking your land only vacation

  • A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit of $350 per person is required to confirm and hold your reservation
  • Vacation departures, itineraries and prices are subject to change until confirmed
  • Full payment due 55 days from departure

Booking your Vacation with Air

  • This vacation does not have an airfare option. We can hold your land reservation while you book air. Once you confirm your air itinerary we can then proceed with collecting a deposit and confirming your land portion

Cancellation Policy

  • Deposit is non-refundable
  • Cancellation up to 55 days prior to arrival: $350 per person
  • Cancellation with 54 or less days prior arrival, "no shows" and unused services - No refund
  • A cancellation is only valid after our services acknowledge the request and confirms that it's cancelled

Refund Fees

  • The credit card fee assessed when making payments, will be subtracted from any refunded payments, including deposits refunded due to services requested not available for date of booking.

Booking Changes

  • A fee of $35 per person, per transaction, will be charged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed. 

Travel Insurance

  • We strongly recommend you purchase travel/cancellation insurance. Ask us about it.
