Cycle among the magnificent landscapes of the Alentejo region and discover the region's history, culture and charm. Travel through the picturesque landscapes with cork oaks, olive trees, whitewashed traditional houses, windmills and castles. Wine cellars are abundant and the Alentejo wine is quickly becoming synonymous with great wines of Portugal. Enjoy the beauty and charm of Evora, an UNESCO city dating back to Roman times and Neolithic Stone Circles, common in this part of Portugal. Accommodations are in exclusive and luxury wine estates.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at Lisbon's airport and transfer to the fabulous L'and Vineyards Resort. Enjoy the rest of the day in this property!

2 Night Accommodation at L'And Vineyards***** (Montemor-o- Novo)

Day 2

In the morning we will cycle to a local wine cellar, where we will have the first introduction to the local wines with a wine tasting. Afterward, lunch will follow and then a leisurely afternoon!

Day 3

Depart for Evora. On the way we will visit the Cartuxa Winery. In the afternoon we will visit the city of Evora and discover the reason why it's a World Heritage site.

1 Night Accommodation at Convento do Espinheiro***** (Evora)

Day 4

Today we will cycle by the Alqueva Lake, the largest artificial lake in Europe. Afterwards, we will head to the medieval village of Monsaraz and the nearby winery José de Sousa.

1 Night Accommodation at Horta da Moura Country House (Monsaraz)

Day 5

Travel through the plains and cork oak meadows, so famous in the region, and arrive at the Herdade do Sobroso Estate with 123 acres of vineyards.

Day 6

Today we will have an easy stretch of our itinerary traveling to Beja, where we will be staying for the night.

Day 7

Today we will travel on off-road pavement on the road to Santa Vitória Winery where a wine tasting and picnic lunch will be waiting for us. At the end of the day we will reach another amazing accommodation!

2 Night Accommodation at Herdade da Malhadinha Nova*****(Albernoa)

Day 8

After our active week it will be time to have a leisure day at Herdade da Malhadinha Nova following a short cycle.

Day 9

Transfer to Lisbon's airport.
