Lisbon & Wonders of Portugal is a 5-day, 4-night guided Portugal tour based in Lisbon and designed for travelers who want to experience several of the country’s most important cultural, historic and scenic destinations in a short stay. The program combines Lisbon sightseeing with guided excursions to Sintra and the Atlantic coast, Fátima and Central Portugal, and Évora in the Alentejo.
Highlights include Lisbon’s historic neighborhoods and monuments, Pena Palace and the UNESCO-listed cultural landscape of Sintra, Cabo da Roca, Cascais and Estoril, the Sanctuary of Fátima, Batalha Monastery, Nazaré, medieval Óbidos and the Roman and medieval heritage of Évora. Four nights in a 4-star hotel, daily breakfast, airport transfers and guided transportation by air-conditioned bus or minivan are included.
Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive in Lisbon & Classic Lisbon Sightseeing
Arrive at Lisbon Airport and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your flight schedule, the included half-day Classic Lisbon sightseeing tour will operate on either your first or final day.
The Lisbon tour introduces historic areas and monuments associated with Portugal’s Age of Discovery, including Belém, Jerónimos Monastery and Ajuda National Palace. Entrance to Ajuda Palace is included except on Wednesdays. Continue to Alfama for a walking tour through one of Lisbon’s oldest neighborhoods.
Overnight in Lisbon.
Day 2 - Sintra, Cabo da Roca, Cascais & Estoril
Travel from Lisbon to Sintra and visit the colorful Pena Palace, set high in the Sintra Mountains. After the palace visit, enjoy free time in Sintra’s historic center.
Continue through the Colares wine region to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe. Follow the Atlantic coast past Guincho and Boca do Inferno to Cascais, then return to Lisbon along the Estoril coast.
Overnight in Lisbon.
Day 3 - Fátima, Batalha, Nazaré & Óbidos
Leave Lisbon for Fátima and spend time at the Sanctuary, including the Basilica and the Chapel of the Apparitions.
Continue to Batalha to visit the UNESCO-listed Batalha Monastery, then travel to Nazaré for coastal views and time in this traditional Atlantic town. Your final stop is Óbidos, a medieval walled village of whitewashed houses and narrow streets, before returning to Lisbon.

Day 4 - Évora & the Alentejo
Travel east from Lisbon through the landscapes of the Alentejo to Évora, a UNESCO World Heritage city known for its Roman and medieval heritage.
Explore major landmarks including the Roman Temple, Évora Cathedral, the Church of São Francisco and the Chapel of Bones. The supplier itinerary also provides time for lunch and an afternoon regional wine tasting before returning to Lisbon.

Day 5 - Depart Lisbon
After breakfast and hotel check-out, transfer from your Lisbon hotel to Lisbon Airport for your departure. If the half-day Classic Lisbon tour did not operate on Day 1 because of your flight schedule, it may be arranged on this day subject to departure timing.
