Sintra and Estoril Coast - Half-day Private Tour

Charming Estoril Coast has several attractions such as famous beaches and popular towns such as Estoril and Cascais. Sintra a "must see" village, with its historic palace and  natural surroundings, has been classified as an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The tour will take you on a half-day journey exploring the traditional Portuguese towns. Starting at your hotel the tour guide will drive you straight to Sintra where hundreds of years of history and culture awaits you. A short walk in the old city center is mandatory where you'll see the traditional houses now converted into small quaint handicraft shops and traditional pastry shops. Continue to visit the highlight of the day: the Pena Palace. Driving around the mountain passing by chalets and aristocratic residences you will reach the 19th century Pena Palace in the most incredible combination of architectural styles, colors and shapes that you will find in Portugal.

After visiting the historic Palace the tour continues to the town of Cascais. Once a small fishing village, this town managed to maintain its seafaring traditions combined with the aristocratic and royal presences of the late 19th and beginning of the 20th century. Passing through its animated town center you'll find the cosmopolitan life side by side with the Atlantic.

The return to Lisbon will follow the "Marginal", the ocean side boulevard that begins in Estoril, and runs along the white sandy beaches and 17th century fortresses and the famous Casino. Arriving in Lisbon you will still drive past the historical neighborhood of Belem on your way to your hotel for a deserved rest.
