Booking & Policies

These booking conditions apply to Globus reservations made through Portugal Online. Portugal Online is responsible for arranging and processing your reservation with Globus, communicating booking confirmations and payment requirements, and processing requested changes or cancellations with the supplier. Globus, Group Voyagers, Inc., and the applicable hotels, transportation companies, guides, airlines, and other service providers are responsible for operating and providing the travel services they supply.

The conditions below summarize the principal booking rules that apply to Globus reservations made through Portugal Online. They do not replace Globus' official Travel Terms & Conditions. The supplier terms in effect when your reservation is made also apply, and any supplier requirement that is more restrictive for a particular itinerary or service will be communicated to you before booking.

Book Globus Through Portugal Online — No Added Markup

Portugal Online does not add a markup to the Globus tour rate quoted for your selected departure and room occupancy. You receive the benefit of Portugal Online handling your reservation, payments, documentation, changes, and booking support at no additional markup to the Globus tour rate. If you ask Portugal Online to arrange additional services outside the Globus tour package—such as airfare, hotels, transfers, travel protection, or custom travel arrangements—those services may have their own separately disclosed prices, fees, and conditions.

1. Reservation and Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of US$300 per person is required to book and hold a standard Globus reservation through Portugal Online. The deposit is applied toward the cost of your trip.

Certain Globus products or additional services may require a larger or separate supplier deposit. This can include selected cruises, certain specialty itineraries, airfare, or other services. If a different deposit requirement applies to your reservation, Portugal Online will advise you before the booking is confirmed.

Portugal Online will process your reservation request with Globus and communicate the supplier confirmation to you. Space, departure dates, room availability, promotions, and pricing remain subject to supplier availability until the reservation is confirmed and the required deposit has been processed.

2. Final Payment

For standard Globus land tours, final payment is due 60 days prior to the commencement of services. Reservations made after the applicable final-payment date require full payment at the time of booking.

Certain Globus itineraries and services have earlier supplier final-payment deadlines, including some cruises, rail journeys, Africa itineraries, South America itineraries, South Pacific itineraries, and other specialty products. If an earlier deadline applies to your reservation, Portugal Online will advise you before booking and that earlier deadline will apply.

If full payment is not received by the applicable final-payment date, the supplier may cancel the reservation and retain the deposit and any other non-refundable amounts in accordance with the applicable terms.

3. Guest Acknowledgement and Passenger Information

After the reservation deposit is made, Globus requires completion of its Guest Acknowledgement process. Guests are required to verify the names and information on the reservation and accept the applicable supplier terms and conditions.

Travelers are responsible for providing complete and accurate passenger information, including names exactly as they appear on the travel documents that will be used for the trip. Portugal Online will transmit the information provided by the traveler to Globus as part of the booking process.

4. Pricing and Confirmation

Unless otherwise stated, Globus tour prices are quoted per person and are based on the selected departure, room occupancy, and services shown in the itinerary. Prices, promotions, and availability may change until the required deposit is processed and the reservation is confirmed.

If a price is incorrect because of a system, human, or other error, Globus or the applicable tour operator may correct the price and re-invoice the reservation in accordance with the supplier's official terms.

5. Cancellation by the Traveler

Cancellation requests for reservations made through Portugal Online should be submitted to Portugal Online so that we can process the cancellation with Globus. Cancellation charges are based on the effective cancellation date and the applicable booking conditions.

For 2026 and 2027 Portugal Online reservations, the cancellation schedule is:

When Cancellation Is Effective Cancellation Charge
Before the final-payment date Non-refundable deposit
Final-payment date through 35 days before commencement of services 50% of the total trip price
34 to 2 days before commencement of services 80% of the total trip price
2 days before departure or later 100% of the total trip price

Travel-protection payments are non-refundable. Airfare and other additional services may be subject to separate or more restrictive cancellation rules and fees.

6. Changes and Revision Fees

On or before the final-payment date, revisions to a Globus reservation made through Portugal Online are subject to a minimum US$35 per person revision fee, plus any applicable airline, supplier, or fare-difference charges.

After the final-payment date, a change to a passenger name, trip date, or itinerary may be treated by the supplier as a cancellation and new reservation, in which case applicable cancellation charges will apply.

Requests for changes to reservations booked through Portugal Online should be made through Portugal Online so that we can coordinate and process the requested change with Globus.

7. Airfare and Additional Services

Airfare, travel protection, pre- or post-tour arrangements, optional excursions, and other additional services may be subject to separate deposits, payment deadlines, change fees, and cancellation rules. Any applicable conditions will be communicated as part of the booking process when those services are arranged through Portugal Online.

Globus Flex-Air, Instant Purchase Air, intra-trip air, and airline-issued tickets may each have separate deposit, cancellation, change, and processing fees. Airline tickets are also subject to the terms and conditions of the operating airline.

8. Tour, Hotel, and Itinerary Changes

Globus itineraries, hotels, transportation, sightseeing, and other tour components may be changed when operational circumstances require it. Hotels shown before travel are generally expected accommodations but may be substituted with properties of a similar standard.

Globus or the applicable tour operator may also modify, reschedule, or cancel services because of weather, strikes, transportation disruptions, government actions, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control. The supplier's applicable terms govern such changes.

9. Travel Documents and Entry Requirements

Each traveler is responsible for obtaining and carrying the passports, visas, travel authorizations, identification, and other documentation required for the countries included in the itinerary. Travelers are also responsible for meeting applicable entry, health, and documentation requirements.

10. Portugal Online Booking Role

Portugal Online is responsible for the booking services it provides, including arranging and processing the reservation with Globus, communicating supplier confirmations and payment deadlines, and submitting authorized reservation changes or cancellations to the supplier.

The tour, accommodations, transportation, sightseeing, meals, guides, and other travel components are operated or supplied by Globus, Group Voyagers, Inc., and/or independent third-party service providers. Their services are subject to their respective terms, conditions, operating requirements, and applicable law.

11. Supplier Terms Applicable to Your Booking

Before making a reservation, travelers should review the complete supplier terms applicable to the tour. Globus may update its terms from time to time, and the terms applicable when the reservation is made govern the supplier booking.

Globus Travel Terms & Conditions:
