Hear about the shepherd children in Fatima and the apparition of the Blessed Virgin Mary which happened over 100 years ago. Walk a portion of the Camino de Santiago and learn about the remarkable journey taken by pilgrims from all over the world into Santiago de Compostela. Find out about the Jesuit mission San Ignacio founded in 1540. In Lourdes, an opportunity to join Mass, the nightly Rosary and candlelight procession as well as time to experience the Healing Baths. Lastly, a magical ending in Barcelona with time to celebrate life, reflect and rejoice. Accompanied by fellow believers and designed to offer the experience of a lifetime, this is a vacation that will stay with you forever.

Itinerary

Day 1 - Arrive Lisbon, Portugal

Welcome to Portugal! Check into your hotel, and tonight, meet your Tour Director and fellow travelers.

Day 2 - Lisbon-Santarem-Fatima

On your guided sightseeing tour of the capital of Portugal, see the enormous monument dedicated to Henry the Navigator, as well as the 16th-century Belém Tower, the Moorish citadel, and impressive Black Horse Square. Visit the CATHEDRAL LA SE’, where St. Anthony was baptized, and JERONIMOS MONASTERY, which dates back to the mid-1400s and was built as thanks to the Virgin Mary for Vasco de Gama’s successful voyage to India. Head north for a stop in Santarém to visit the CHURCH OF THE EUCHARISTIC HOLY MIRACLE. Arrive in Fátima, home to one of the most famous Catholic shrines. Enjoy an orientation walk and visit the TOMB OF THE VISIONARIES and the CHAPEL OF THE APPARITIONS made famous by the Virgin Mary’s 1917 appearances to three shepherd children, which culminated in the revelation of the Three Secrets of Fátima. This evening, join pilgrims from around the world for the ROSARY and candlelight procession at the Our Lady of Fátima Basilica.

Day 3 - Fatima

Today, spend the day at the Sanctuary at leisure, or join an optional excursion to Tomar with a visit to the Monastery-Fortress of the Knights Templar. This afternoon, attend Mass at the Sanctuary of Our Lady with time to wander on your own. This evening, perhaps join the Rosary. Breakfast and dinner included

Day 4 - Fatima-Braga-Santiago de Compostela, Spain

Journey north this morning and stop in Braga, one of the oldest Christian cities in the world and nicknamed the “Portuguese Rome”. Visit the BOM JESUS DO MONTE SANCTUARY, an important pilgrimage site, where devout followers have walked the “Stations of the Cross” for contemplation and penance since 1811. See the unique zigzag stairway dedicated to the five senses: sight, smell, hearing, touch, and taste—and the three theological virtues: faith, hope, and charity. Continue into Spain and head for Santiago de Compostela, one of the top pilgrimage destinations since the Middle Ages. On arrival, an orientation walk introduces you to the old city center. Then, attend the Pilgrim Mass.

Day 5 - Santiago de Compostela

This morning, join an optional excursion to Cabo Finisterre, where pilgrims have traditionally completed their walk and burned their robes. Later, return to Santiago de Compostela, known throughout history for the key 9th-century pilgrimage route, the Camino de Santiago (or Way of St. James) with time to explore on your own. Day 6 - Santiago de Compostela - Burgos

Today, travel to Burgos, historic capital of Old Castile. Your visit takes you to the magnificent CATHEDRAL, a masterpiece of gothic architecture and burial place of Spain’s national hero, El Cid.

Day 7 - Burgos - San Igancio de Loyola - Lourdes, France

Travel through the Basque region toward Lourdes. En route, stop at the 17th-century SANCTUARY OF LOYOLA, built in honor of San Ignacio de Loyola, founder of the Jesuit religious order. Cross into France and stay overnight in Lourdes, home to another world famous place of pilgrimage. Join the nightly ROSARY and candlelight procession for a memorable spiritual experience.

Day 8 - Lourdes

Today’s guided walking tour includes the GROTTO where the Virgin Mary appeared to St. Bernadette in 1858, Our Lady of Lourdes Shrine, Bernadette’s birthplace, and her family home. The afternoon is at leisure to further explore this little market town that became a pilgrimage place of world renown during the 19th century. Day 9 - Lourdes - Carcassone - Barcelona, Spain

This morning, head for the France/Spain border. En route, visit the FORTIFIED CITADEL of Carcassonne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. See the ramparts, castle walls, and drawbridges that are still well preserved from the Middle Ages. Stay overnight in Catalonia’s impressive location of the Marian shrine of Montserrat.

Day 10 - Montserrat-Barcelona

Visit the SANCTUARY OF MONTSERRAT this morning, then attend Mass. Continue to the town of Manresa, known for its Basilica of Saint Mary of Seo, but more importantly for Pont Vell, a bridge associated with the worship of San Ignacio de Loyola. See the architectural compound of Santa Cova, the sanctuary home of St. Ignacio de Loyola, founder of the Jesuits, when he stayed in the city. Later, reach Barcelona, the lively capital of Catalunya.

Day 11 - Barcelona

Get to know the city on a guided sightseeing tour including a drive around Montjuïc to see the Olympic Stadium for a great panoramic view of the port and city. Continue to the city center’s Plaza Catalunya and Paseo de Gracia to admire Gaudi’s eccentric Houses Batlló and Milà, as well as his SAGRADA FAMILIA, an unfinished architectural masterpiece that is still a consecrated expression of the Catholic faith. Booking your land only Tour Package

Tour departures, itineraries and prices are subject to change.
A non-refundable deposit of $250 per person is required to reserve and hold space for you.
Final payment is due 45 days before departure

Booking your Tour with Air

For this package Air is only available to passengers traveling from the United States and only available when booked in conjunction with a land tour package.
An additional $300 per person non-refundable air deposit is required for Air booked in conjunction with any land tour package. Air can only be booked by us in conjunction with a land tour package.

Cancellation Policy

If a booking cancellation is received prior to the final payment date of your tour, your non-refundable land deposit and Travel Protection payments will be retained in addition to your Air deposit, Instant Purchase Air payment and service fee, and/or Intra-vacation air deposit. For individual reservations, the following per person cancellation fees apply. Standard Cancellation Fees:

45 days and over - Deposit
Cancellation 45-22 days prior to commencement of services: 20% of total price
Cancellation 21-8 days prior to commencement of services: 30% of total price
7-1 days prior to commencement of services: 50% of total price
On departure day and later: 100% of total price

Fatima - Coração de Fátima

Situated in the heart of Fátima, just 150 feet from the Sanctuary of Fátima, the Hotel Coração de Fátima was renovated in March 2016 and offers a clean and sophisticated décor.

The 47 elegant rooms at Hotel Coração De Fátima are all soundproofed. Each one has a private bathroom featuring a bath. The units are equipped with a cable TV. Some rooms can accommodate extra beds for families with 1 or 2 children.

The buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of tastes, including continental and local delicacies. In the evening a cocktail drink can be enjoyed at the bar before having dinner in the hotel's restaurant.

Hotel Coração De Fátima provides room service as well as laundry and dry cleaning service. Free on-site parking is available.

Santiago de Compostela - Gran Hotel Los Abetos

The Gran Hotel Los Abetos is set in the San Lazaro neighborhood, offering impressive views of Santiago de Compostela. It offers an outdoor swimming pool during summer.

Free shuttle service is offered Monday through Friday.

Each air-conditioned room in Los Abetos has free Wi-Fi and a large flat-screen TV. All rooms are soundproofed, and all have marble bathrooms.

The Gran Hotel Los Abetos has a tennis court, as well as 2 saunas and a gym. Staff will be happy to advise on golf courses and other outdoor activities.

Set in the San Lazaro neighborhood, Los Abetos is located just off the Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage Route, close to the Galician Convention Center, As Cancelas Shopping Centre and the Galicia Culture City.

It is within 10 minutes’ drive of the city center and Santiago Airport. The hotel has free onsite parking.

Salamanca - Hotel Corona de Castilla

Hotel Corona de Castilla is 3 km from central Salamanca, located opposite the Helmantico Stadium. It offers 24-hour reception, free Wi-Fi. The air-conditioned rooms come with a TV.

Rooms feature wooden floors and are heated. All have a work desk. The private bathroom has a bath tub or shower and toiletries.

A buffet breakfast is available and the hotel has an à la carte restaurant and a snack bar. Guests can relax in the lounge, which has bullfighting memorabilia and a fireplace.

Santiago de Compostela - Hotel Gelmírez

Hotel Gelmírez is just a ten minute walk from Santiago de Compostela Cathedral and a three minute walk from the Airport bus stop. It features a 24 hour front desk, free Wi-Fi, and a gym.

Hotel Porta Fira’s rooms feature sleek minimalist décor and include a minibar and a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. The modern bathrooms come with a selection of toiletries.

The Porta Fira offers a breakfast buffet and has an elegant restaurant, serving international cuisine. You can also enjoy light meals and drinks in the snack bar and cafe.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Gran Via 2 Shopping Center. Just 220 yards away, Europa Fira FGC Metro Station provides direct access to central Barcelona. Barcelona Airport is a 10 minute drive away.
